How It Works
1. A Casual Conversation
We’ll chat for about an hour, about your neighborhood. We can meet over coffee, Zoom or Teams, or just have a phone call. What do you love? What surprised you? What should people know before moving there? You share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with, and I’ll never attribute quotes without your permission.
2. The FoCo Free Agent Will Support Your Community
As a thank-you for your time, FoCo Free Agent makes a $100 donation to a Fort Collins nonprofit or neighborhood association of your choice. It’s my way of ensuring the FoCo Free Agent has a positive impact.
3. An Honest Neighborhood Profile
I’ll write a balanced, detailed profile that helps future residents understand what life is really like in your neighborhood—the good, the practical considerations, and everything in between. I might ask for your feedback on the finished product, if you’re willing!
This post can be completely anonymous, or it can be an opportunity for you to bring attention to yourself, your HOA, or something you care about.
What I’m Looking For
I want the details that statistics can’t capture. I’ll email questions to you ahead of our conversation. Those questions will be things like:
- What makes your neighborhood feel like home?
- Hidden gems only locals know about
- What surprised you after moving in?
- Honest pros and cons of living there
- Local traditions, quirks, or features that make it special
- What you wish you’d known before buying or renting
I might add questions due to current events or something else that brings special attention to your neighborhood.

I’m not a realtor trying to sell houses. I’m a Fort Collins resident who loves exploring neighborhoods and believes honest, detailed information helps people find the right place to call home. I want to get past the polished, real-estate speak that is normal for home listings. Every neighborhood has a story—I want to help tell yours.
