Living in Fort Collins isn’t just about finding the right house—it’s about understanding a lifestyle shaped by water scarcity, outdoor culture, and a housing market that can perplex even seasoned buyers. I’m a scientist whose career has been built in the water industry. A leadership role with an innovative water technology company brought me to Fort Collins in 2024. For that relocation, I purchased my 13th home. Buying in Fort Collins was unlike anything I’d experienced elsewhere.
Today, Fort Collins is home. It’s also an endless source of fascinating neighborhoods to explore, houses to visit, and questions to ask—like where our water comes from and how to do drought-tolerant landscaping. I’m not a realtor. I’m just another scientist in absurdly well-educated Fort Collins who has found a way to combine two passions (water and homes) into one project!
